Foods to Avoid if you have Gallbladder Stones

There are several foods that, according to a urologist in Chandigarh, you should avoid if you have gallstones in order to prevent further deterioration of your disease.

Following is a list  of 5 foods to avoid if you have gallbladder stones.

Processed and refined foods:- These include packaged snacks like bhujia and papad as well as foods made using all-purpose flour (maida). If you have gallbladder stones, you should also cut out fast foods from your diet, like noodles, hamburgers, donuts, and pies.

A saturated fatl:- Avoid consuming animal-based fats like ghee, butter, cream, and vanaspati if you have gallbladder stones. Red meat, chicken (thigh and leg), thick gravies, peanut butter, and other foods also contribute to higher cholesterol levels and larger gallbladder stones.

Food sources of oxalates:- Oxalates, which are present in many foods, speed up the synthesis of cholesterol, which eventually causes gallstones to grow larger. Examples include peanut butter, coffee, strong tea, dark chocolate, and cocoa butter.

Extra salt:- If you have gallbladder stones, you should limit your overall intake of white salt. Pink salt and rock salt are also included in this. It is best to cease eating packaged chutneys, papads, pickles, and chips that are high in sodium.

Powerfully flavorful masalas:- Among these are pre-packaged masalas like paneer masala, rajma masala, chaat masala, and garam masala. Strong masalas raise your body's bile salt levels, which are directly related to gallstone growth.
